God sure works in mysterious ways sometimes.  I was headed toward Sarchi a little village in the mountains of Costa Rica. This was my second mission trip, but my first village trip. The whole first week of ministry had really impacted me. People were accepting the Lord left and right. I saw tons of people blessed. I expected the same in Sarchi; do the drama, talk with and pray with people, go to the hotel, then go out the next day and do it all over again.  It was awesome.  Little did I know God was planning something a little different for me.  The first night, we drove from the church we were staying at and ended up at a little garage near a few homes on the mountains. There was a little congregation of people gatheredAmber is the girl in the Green Kat costume. around and the leader was a young woman in her twenties. After performing the drama, one of the Kats brought in the Net (gave the altar call).  I noticed that there were quite a few teenagers standing around looking disinterested.  One young girl, about my age, caught my eye.  She was gorgeous, but she looked very sad while she heard the Gospel message.  I started praying for her immediately.  Afterwards I was drawn to this young girl.  I asked her name and she said Suzi.  All of the translators were praying with other people, but that didn't stop me even though I didn’t know Spanish.  I put my hand on her shoulder and I asked if I could pray for her. She nodded, so I figured she could understand me.  I was led by the God to ask Him to break certain strongholds in her life and then she began to weep.  I could tell she was being released from something.  I was still praying when she looked up and through her tears, she was beaming saying, "Thank you, thank you."  I stopped and smiled back.  She gave me a big hug and then shocked me.  This young girl was so full of God's love, that she began praying for me!  I was so blessed by her, and we immediately had an incredible bond.  After three hours, and lot of hugging and praying, our team headed back toward the church. As I left I wondered aloud, "that was so cool, I can't believe she knew what to pray for me about."  One of the translators looked at me and smiled, "That girl you were praying with doesn't know any English." To this day, I thank God that He broke the barriers of language so that two sisters in Christ from two different worlds could come together in His name and be blessed. Thank you Big World for helping this happen ... God bless you. - Amber Ross
